I started making a list of random stuff last week and never quite got around to actually posting anything. That list is at the bottom of this post - first, a catch up of the past week and a half:
Seeing Nicky & Joey last weekend was a lot of fun. Trey and I took them to a Chicago Fire game which was a good time, at least in my opinion (this was Trey really being a good sport because he really doesn't like soccer) . The Fire won, we were able to get away from the guy with the really obnoxious horn thing without being conspicuous, and Trey got wished a happy Father's Day by the security guard near our section (she got a kick of of N&J each time the walked by, probably because there weren't may kids where we were seated).
My only complaint about our outing was that Toyota Park, which is out in burbs, is way too expensive - like the concessions are more expensive than Wrigley Field in some cases. I was also mad that they wouldn't let me keep the cap of the $4.50 water bottle I had to purchase since I couldn't bring one in, which made refilling it inconvenient (a lot of the arenas around here do allow you to bring in a plastic water bottle, but since Toyota Park does not allow that I had to spend $4.50 on one and therefore did not buy beer and spend more of my money there).
Other big news is that we painted more of our condo this past weekend - the first half of the living room. We went to the store to get some 8 oz. samples earlier in the week and I think we cracked up the lady at the paint counter. My idea was to do 2 colors, the darker of which would be on the back wall and the wall against the kitchen, my rationale being that the darker color would be on the wall that the light hits. Once I had colors picked out it took a while to convince Trey, and he was still very skeptical...until he painted a few spots. :-)
As of Saturday the lighter walls are done, and the darker ones will be finished on Friday. After that the only remaining summer project will be to get the Texas bathroom completed, although this may end up waiting until the fall, as it will really just mean switching the shower curtain and bath accessories.
Hmm, this post is a little long already, so I'll probably do a random post later this week. Happy short week to everyone who's off on Friday!

I went to a concert this past weekend and they too wouldn't let us keep the caps on water bottles. Evidently people throw them on stage or onto the fields so if a bottle doesn't have a cap, it is less likely to make the trip. I was annoyed too!
pictures pictures please!!!!!
