I'm sure I've mentioned that I work down the street from Water Tower Place (it's a 10 minute walk if you walk fast). Since I generally don't have a reason to walk up there very often, I've decided that any time I do need to go I have no reason not to stop into the Lindt store. :-)
Yesterday was one such occasion - my watch band broke, and since I figured it would need to be sent back to Fossil for repair, I should just go to the Fossil store. My first stop, however, was Lindt. I never actually look around the store, I just make a bee line (b-line?) to the section with the Excellence stuff to pick up a few bars of 99%. This time I was excited to see they had some new Excellence varieties as well. They've added a 90%, when previously it was just 70, 85 and 99, so I picked up one of those.
I also noticed a new "flavored" dark chocolate. Most of you know I love the Excellence with Chili, and probably think I'm nuts because of it, so I was very intrigued when I say the Excellence With a Hint of Sea Salt. I picked up a bar of that, but am waiting to try it until Trey's back.
The laugh-out-loud moment for all you South Park fans came this morning when I was telling Trey about my discovery. He asked me if they made the Lindor balls with sea salt as well...you know, so Lindt would be selling salty chocolate balls. Ha! :-)
Have a great weekend!

Sea salt with anything sweet is a big trend right now. Esp with caramel, too.
Every now and again, someone brings in these large chocolate covered malt balls from the bulk bin from a local grocery. once (the last time, I think!) they tasted salty. We just laughed at the thought of "schweaty balls" - someone with dirty sweaty hands filling the container. We assumed (maybe b/c it made us feel better) that the bin was previously used for salty nuts...
hehehe...salty nuts to shwetty balls...
Trey's comment cracked me up--Martha's too!
I don't know if I would like salty chocolate. I'd have to try that one.
oh yea...shweaty balls reference came from SNL. Not the same as the sweaty hands causing it to ours...but we took it from sweaty hands to shweaty balls....
I got your reference right away Martha...good old Alec Baldwin. :) Schweaty. :) And I love chocolate covered pretzels and peanuts for this whole sweet and salty at the same time thing.
So the sea salt sounds interesting...And also makes me think of the CNN article on "Stuff White People Like". Because sea salt is one of them. Hahaha.
OH MY WORD
