I've got so much else to post about, but I would be remiss if I didn't call attention to my mom's blog. She has a brief entry about my Otta receiving the Bundesverdienstkreutz (pronounced "boon-des-fer-deenst-kroits"). Pretty cool. :-)
Funny note about the reception - you could tell Otta was in a good mood because he kept making everyone have a schnapps with him when they arrived. The ceremony got started over a half an hour late because people were stuck in traffic, but could've started a good 10 minutes sooner than it did because Otta just had to have a schnapps with the last people to arrive!
