So, I got an e-mail this morning. It was a blast e-mail from a company that does communications trainings. The subject line:
"Measure you writing, editing, and strate gy against the best—for only $139!"
Yeah, I really want to send people from my company to an editing class with those people. How about they pay me $139 to edit their e-mails? *shakes head*
Other updates - last weekend we had visitors! Kristin was in from Carbondale, and though she stayed at mom's it was great to meet her downtown and spend the day with her on Saturday. She's a nut and I love her. Justin (of "Justin & Holly's Blog") also flew through town for a visit. We just kept things low key, but I don't think Justin minded. It was great to have him around...and a nice excuse to get Lou Malnati's two weeks in a row!
Monday I had the day off, so I took Willie to the vet for a dental cleaning. While they were in there they pulled out 6 teeth. The day itself was traumatic for him otherwise, too, as he HATES leaving the house, and we later had to wrestle with him to get his medicine down (Trey and I both have the war wounds to prove it). Tuesday night was equally traumatic for me as I tried to give him meds myself, which left me frustrated and upset to the point that I was crying ("my cat is going to die if he doesn't let me give him his medicine!"). Fortunately, a) I'd convinced the vet to give us the liquid instead of the pills so we don't have to pry his mouth open, and b) by day 2 1/2 catching him off-guard to give him the medicine was much easier. I keep saying that we're so lucky to still have him, and have him doing so well, but I'm not at all ready to let him go.
Anyway, enough for now - happy Thursday everyone. Hopefully I'll get in a more up-beat post tomorrow!

Oooh, I love company, even if it's a low key visit.
I hope your day and your kitty improves. :)
Hope your kitty continues to take his meds!
We totally understand the teeth thing. The last vet visit we had was the first time he said that they won't probably have to pull any of Morrie's teeth when they do his cleaning in November. It's a little easier to give a dog medicine though...they totally fall for the pill in the treat trick. :)
I lol'ed at that editing email. Too funny!!
To Lisa's point (that it is easier to give a dog a pill in a treat), my dog thought the pill WAS a treat! I never had to hide them in anything. He loved pills!
Wow. I just made my Milo sound like a crack addict...
But I am glad your kitty is finally taking her meds. :)
And I'm with Karen - I wonder what they'd do if you made a recommendation like that, and then send them a bill with a note that if they so much as make the correction, it is accepting the contract and they owe you $$$.... (kinda like the darn companies who cut you a check quickly and then say if you cash the check - that is usually rightfully yours anyway - then you are voiding all complaints with the company)
