Real quick, just because it's fun...
I'm listening to my iPod today at work, and of course have it on shuffle (I'm track 2104 into 4846 after about a month of not syncing it with my computer). Anyway, the track that's playing now is "Glory, Hallelujah" by Austrian Express, a great German band from Milwaukee. My favorite line in this song...
"Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah. Easy rider auf dem highway ins Paradies..."
Yeah, so I guess it's funnier if you're used to the "Genglish" or "Chicago Deutsch" people around here use, but I always get a kick out of it. September (German stuff starts up again big time), here we come!

Austian Express will be playing at German Day on Saturday and Sunday!
Yeah!
I don't know that song, however, I can totally relate to the taking so long just to shuffle through, only to look down and realize you're not even 1/2 way through. I keep mine on shuffle, too, though, really, the only time I listen to it is on planes.
I had to go through all of my German CDs this weekend to look for some marches to use during the competition program. While doing so, I ran across and Austrian Express CD that I had forgotten I had. And guess what! "Hallelujah, Glory Hallelujah..." was on the CD! I had to stop what I was doing and listen to it!
I don't speak a lick of German, but for some reason find that line funny. And Ipods are the greatest invention ever.
That is really funny.Too bad I couldn't find anything from them on youtube or so... But, I have to admit I am not really a big fan of volkstümliche Musik. (The guy mentions in the interview that they like Schürzenjäger and Klostertaler - both are not the kind of music I enjoy) :)
