It's so late in the day Monday already and no one has posted anything yet!
Anyway, not much to recap on the weekend - it was busy, but fun, ending with dance practice yesterday that was especially fun. I love dancing with Trey, and when enough folks are at practice and we just keep dancing, it's great!
I do have a fun story from Saturday morning, however, which makes me so glad I'm not like this girl I witnessed...well, she was with her boyfriend, too. Both of them looked like Italian teenagers, or like they'd both spend way too much on their outfits at Express.
I was at the VW dealership dropping off my car for regular maintenance, and waiting for my ride, when I hear this girl ask a dealership person, "So, if I pay my loan off early, I don't have to pay as much, right?" The dealership guy replies that she won't pay as much in interest. I don't think the girl got it, so she reiterated her question, and the guy said, "yes, that's right, because you pay less interest." I don't think the girl got the concept, but she was happy with the fact that she would be paying less.
So, the dealer guy tells her he'll get her a payoff quote. Her boyfriend asks how long that'll take - dealer guy says just a couple of minutes - and then boyfriend continues, "because she has an eyebrow appointment so we need to leave and come back...but it'll probably take a while because we have to go downtown, so we'll be back in around 2 hours."
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!
Mt. Prospect, where my dealership is, is around 35-40 miles outside of downtown. If traffic is good, you can do 1 way in just under an hour. Going and coming she probably wasted over 2 hours of her life, and (based on the car she was driving) about 1/3 tank of gas. Why? There are eyebrow ladies in almost every strip mall in the area. She could've walked across the street to the mall and there are at least 2 in there.
Once I was done being confused/irritated that such stupid people exist, I decided I was just really happy not to be that girl.

Ok wait. There are eyebrow appointments? I thought these were just part of spa treatments. Do they have entire boutiques just for these activities? What is the technical term? Pedicures, manicures, browicures? I have never heard of such...
I'm laughing at Justin - many women (and men with unibrows) will get their eyebrows waxed from time to time. Said waxing is a service usually available at any nail salon, spa, or other such establishment.

That is a crazy toleran boyfriend (so much for leaving the primping/grooming to the imagination. Aren't they supposed to just think you're naturally that beautiful and it doesn't take work? Much less cost MONEY? ;)
