Fun stuff for St. Patrick's Day

So, I was walking along the river this morning thinking that they must've put more dye in this year - they dyed it Saturday, but it's still very green.

Later on, at work, I was waiting for the copy machine to warm up and was again admiring the river, this time looking out the window. Then, something caught my eye - some guy was doing the backstroke across the river. It must've been really cold because when he reached the other side and got out, he was bright red!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Maybe he was allergic to the color!

I don't know if you watch Malcolm in the Middle, but it's like the one episode where the secretly buy a jacuzzi and Hal gets a horrible rash.

he essentially swam in a bunch of GREEN dye and came out RED. weird. Then again, I think they are opposite colors? Or maybe you're red/green colorblind. ;) Just kidding. Whatever possessed someone to swim in green dye? Maybe it was a dare. I'd totally dare someone to do that....

I actually heard that they put less dye in this year than previous years.

I didn't realize they did this. Thanks for sharing. Maybe we'll have to make a trip up just to see this in person someday!

Oh, I read that the dye they use to color the river looks orange and then turns green in the river (but does not have the same effect in other rivers...hmmmm). Perhaps he picked up the orange dye instead...?
sounds awfully oompa loompa to me!
