So, yesterday around 4pm, the building management came over the intercom system instructing us all to stay away from the windows on the west side of the building. This is what happened...if the link doesn't work, let me know. I actually work in the 401 N. Michigan building...crazy, huh?
Other than that, things are Ok...concerts are going well and all that. Everyone please take a moment to wish my mom well - she just had a procedure done on her right wrist...
Happy almost Friday!

My office building never gets that kind of excitement! Glad you are safe and sound!
wow. how is that for some *excitement*. I particularly like that they repeatedly said they "rendered it safe" - yea, they blew it up. Glad all is well.
Good thoughts for your mom.
Oh yea. I was trying to catch a plane in Cincy a few years back. They moved everyone (who had not cleared security) outside and far away from the airport. Then you hear an explosion - they blew up a guy's laptop b/c it was unsupervised, had chemical residues consistant with explosives, and had electonics - i.e. a bomb.
No joke. A guy set down his briefcase to get his other luggage, it was found rather quickly - and...the best part....he was a FERTILIZER salesman just back from a fertilizer conference. HAHAHAHA. They blew up his work computer! Can you imagine going into to work to explain THAT one to your boss and upper management? That story was well worth missing the plane and cutting many lines to barely make the "last flight out" that day.
