Someone shoot me now

Ok, so many of you know how frustrated we are because we still haven't been able to close on our condo. This is through no fault of ours, mind you. Most of it is due to the fact that the developers have no idea what they're doing, and that is making it difficult for them to pass their inspections. Actually, they're complaining that the city is being slow to pass them, and if that's the case then I still blame the developers for being idiots-the city would pass them more quickly if they knew what they were doing.

Anyway, so Trey hears something on the radio about American Home Mortgage going out of business. He tells me when he calls me at lunchtime. I check the website, and sure enough. AHM was the preferred lender for the idiot developers!

So far I have learned that there are other lenders honoring what AHM was offering, but the news is so recent that we haven't been put in touch with anyone yet. Our former mortgage guy called and left a message for me earlier, but I haven't yet been able to reach him. Looks like the saga continues...
