Must...post...must...post...

I feel pretty guilty for not blogging, but certainly not as guilty as my mother should feel for not yet having blogged about her trip – I’ve seen her several times since her return and the only thing I’ve really heard is that she got a wheelchair at the airport. I really would like to hear something!

Anyway, I really do apologize for my lack of blogging lately. Work has just been nuts and busy, and so has life outside of work. Here’s what’s been going on…

Friday night was Kindergruppe, followed by going to the Simpsons movie. Now, I’ve read a couple of different reviews of this film that have not been very complimentary, and my answer to that is that the people who did those reviews are just not very bright. For those of you know do not know my theory on the Simpsons, I believe the TV series is great because it’s got plenty of toilet humor for those who are less intelligent, but enough wit and social commentary for those of us who appreciate that kind of thing. I’m thinking the people who wrote the bad reviews are just not bright enough to figure out what those of us who are smarter did.

Saturday morning I woke up, did a few things around the house, and drove out to Cincinnati to visit the Eutsler family and their newest addition. Man, for those of you who have not seen her in person, she looks even more like her father up close than she does in the pictures! In any case, it was a very nice visit and I very much enjoyed spending time with the whole family, especially the part of the weekend when Karen and I posed Nicole and took pictures for a good 45 minutes (she did very well, but I don’t think we did all that great with the pictures). I was also extremely impressed by Nicole’s pooping ability! It seems that the gods were being very good to me on the drive in to Chicago as well - to ease the sadness of having to leave, they got me home very quickly. Despite my driving into Chicago during rush hour, the traffic moved normally almost the entire way in. It only took me 5 hours to get from the gas station by Karen’s to Des Plaines, IL!

I was going to write more, but, well, I can’t remember what I was going to write about. Have a great Wednesday all!

Thanks for the update! Looks like you have been very busy, and I am looking forward to an update of the photo session... Good that you got home safely.

Do you know in my urban planning history class (that was a snooze for sure!) we watched several Simpsons episodes as homework to see how the writers and creators carefully crafted the 'modern role of the suburbs' or something like that. It is a very funny, albeit intelligent' show to watch.

I 100% agree with you on the Simpsons. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am looking forward to it.

5 hours to drive all that way is great! It has been taking me about 6 lately.

We want to see the Simpsons movie too. Maybe this weekend. I too appreciate their wit. You're right though, it goes over some peoples heads.

Kendall is in Chicago right now for a electronic medical records conference. You should call him. He might have time to have dinner. 937-830-3536. He has a kick as view of the city from his 27th floor hotel room. He says it's incredible.

5 hours isn't too bad at all! I'm looking forward to seeing more of these pictures you and Karen took along with her vacation pics!
