Just thought I'd do a real quick post to say hi to y'all. It's been nuts around here - nuts at work, plus I'm trying to bank a few extra hours for anticipated trips. Nuts at home because I'm working more, and Trey's got and has had rehearsal/shows every night...and there is that concert I have next week, too. Hmm. Have to look at that duet I'm doing with my old voice teacher...
Mom is back from Hungary - if you haven't read her last comment on my last post, you'll get a kick out of it. The thought of my mom as a party animal is still a little strange, mostly because she claims to never have done anything bad as a teenager. I think my reaction to her partying is kind of like the first time John Surso saw me with a beer at UD - anybody remember that? Anyway, as if a week and a half of folk dancing wasn't enough for her, we've got Kindergruppe on Friday night, and the following weekend is a folk dance workshop in Chicago.
Congrats again to Karen & Jim. I tell you, for all of the ladies who've gone through the birthing process, I'm amazed. In awe really. All of us in Chicago are looking forward to more pictures of Nicole, and I'm really looking forward to meeting her in person. :-)

Your Mom is hysterical!!!
I agree--all of the woman that have given birth are amazing! I, too, am in awe!
You are super busy!! I hope you get a chance to rest too!
So are you saying that being a party animal is a bad thing?
As to giving birth - it is certainly not a cake walk, but the end result is so very worth it. I have four of those end results, and they are each pretty amazing!
Mom
No being a party animal is not a bad thing at all, as long as it's in moderation - the way you and I do it. :-)
Wow you handled that person so eloquently, while I just exploded and asked them to off themselves. Kudos to you for keeping your cool!!! I admire that.
i'm just picturing Eva out with a bunch of folks, beer in both arms, swaying and singing a folk song in some hungarian bar-- ha!
Karen, that is exactly what happened! How did you know?
