First, doing a lot of reflecting on life and what happens afterwards this week, I can't believe I forgot to mention a really cool happening from Kristin's wedding...
When we arrived at the church for a brief music rehearsal there was this bird flying around inside. He (normally I'd use "s/he" but...) was just sort of flying around, and was really cute singing along when we were rehearsing with the organist. Everyone thought it was random but cute, and I was just hoping that it wouldn't poop on Kristin. Well, the service started, everyone processed in, and the bird sat on a ceiling fan directly over Kristin. Every once in a while he'd fly around a little, but land right back over her and he stayed there for the whole service, though I think folks said that during the marriage part of the service he sat at the altar. Anyway, at the very end, when Kristin & Jonathan walked out, they stood at the back of the church for the receiving line, and the bird flew back and sat on the railing of the choir loft, directly over them. Here's the cool part.....everyone said it was my dad. :-) I'm sure it was.
The only other thing I had for today was a reponse to Katrin, who asked about bleachers. Bleachers are stadium seats without backs - click here to read an article about the bleacher expansion at Wrigley Field, which also contains a link to the bleacher expansion photo gallery. Karen also thought that the bleachers on the roofs sounded cool, so here's a link to the site listing several of the rooftop bleacher sites. If you look closely at the picture of Wrigley here, you can see the surrounding houses.
Happy Friday all...

what a sweet happening! That is so cute.
I am so glad that your Dad was able to see the wedding. I sure believe it was him!
The other day a music box that my Grandma had given me started without being winded up, I knew Grandma was watching over me then!!
Thank you for the enlightenment! Another thing crossed off my "what I still need to learn" list. The thought of your dad coming to your sister's wedding is so sweet!
no one told me that... but right now I'm crying... I was a daddys girl...
that is super sweet. A similar thing happend to my mother's goddaughter when she got married - little things like that put things into a new light.
Didn't mean to make you cry, schatz. I can't believe no one told you about that! Make sure you put a picture of the bird in your album...
That is a totally awesome story. I'll have to post something about "the ladies" and Alex's adventures with them.
Hello all!
I am still alive, I survived Budapest and the rest of Hungary, and didn´t get arrested. Currently in Marktl, Germany, near Munich. Great news about Tony´s job!
See you all soon!
