77 years ago today, that great American cream-filled sponge cake treat Twinkies first appeared on the shelves! Courtesy of the conductor of Metra Union Pacific Northwest line train number 628.
Ever tried them frozen? They're almost irresistible!

have you ever made chocolate covered ones? They make great strawberry shortcakes too. :-D
frozen? What you mean you forgot your groceries in the car this week and ate one anyway?
And since Twinkies have an indefinate shelf life, those 77 year old Twinkies are still eadible!
I hear they are great deep fried also.

Oh my goodness! Now I want a twinkie!
Now that is truly something to celebrate V! Let's crack open a bottle of bubbly and have a chocolate covered, deap fried, strawberry covered, frozen twinkie...or maybe even 2!
Kilroy was here!
I love them deep fried. Yumm-o

Oi. I'm anti that sort of food, but OMG, I have a weakness for Twinkies!! Tried them deep fried for the first time in Santa Cruz w/ my cuz and his wife. While great, doesn't beat a good ole twinkie (and oddly enough, I prefer the flavor and texture of the "low fat" version).
Armand...that's the most awesome suggestion I've heard - combine all of the ways to make twinkies into one! :)
I thought it sounded like a good idea!

I'm totally down with that combo Armand made! Who's having the Twinkie party?
