Nothing like an afternoon at Wrigley...

To take your mind off of job prospects ending up falling through. Yup, Ravinia fell through (UD reunion here I come!). I'm thinking at this point that either a) they had someone else in mind from the beginning based on how they acted and the verbage of e-mail responses from them, or b) I was overqualified (based on the salary range of the position). I'm actually releaved - I was feeling like I was getting jerked around, and it was getting to the point where the stress I was experiencing wasn't worth it anymore. Plus it means that I won't be working my butt off all summer for peanuts.

More good news is that I had a great interview at an architectural place yesterday and I should hear from them next week, and I have an interview set up at a music conservatory in the Loop on Monday. If those fall through, there's still Starbucks. :-)

All in all, I'm doing pretty well keeping my spirits up, but there's really nothing like a Cubs game to lift them a little higher. Today was a value day, so the tickets were all way cheaper, it was beautiful and warm, and we had fantastic seats. The Cubbies lost to the Reds, but that's Ok. I still love Wrigley!

Sorry about Ravinia. Everyone told me a better job was around the cornor when I didn't get the job I really wanted. I hated that, so I won't tell you that. I would say that something equally as entretaining and enjoyable is out there. If not, there's Starbucks! ;)

Speaking of Starbucks...I got a whole bag of fresh coffee beans from a Captain today for taking her shift as gate guard last Friday. What am I supposed to do with a whole bag of coffee? Oh well, I guess it is the thought that counts. Maybe I'll send it home with T3.

Kilroy was here!

Just keep looking! I didn't even get a job after I quit my gig in Sidney. I had to substitute teach to finally land a full time job. That's always an option too. You could find a district where you could sub.
