I'm so glad it's the weekend! This week has been insane and has left my head spinning after all of the craziness. I've been on 4 interviews - 1 for Ravinia, 1 for Best Buddies, 1 for a temp agency (+ going back for paperwork), and 1 for an Admin Assistant job that would be incredibly boring but would make more $, as well as a job fair. Not only is that all exhausting, but there's always all sorts of follow-up, on both the interviews and the other resumes I've sent out.
Last night, however, I did treat myself to a movie (yes, I was a loser and went by myself). I decided on "Failure to Launch" with Matthew McCanaghey (sp?), Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Bates, and Terry Bradshaw. I figured since Trey and I weren't going together I should see a chick flick, but I think you guys might get a kick out of it, too. Terry Bradshaw was really funny!
Today being April Fool's Day, all of the teachers at German School wanted to play tricks on their kids. My mom went and rearranged her classroom last night so that all of the chairs were facing the window, but then she got a better idea...she had me go in and teach the first few minutes of her class in Italian and I spent about 5 minutes speaking only that. Her first graders, getting over their initial confusion with the classroom layout, listened well at first when I said, "Benvenuto in la mia classe. Mi chiamo Signorina Johnson. Prego, apprende i tui spazi..."
Then I started a lesson - because it was the first thing I could think of I wrote all of the days of the week in Italian up on the board and started talking about them. All of the parents out in the hall were cracking up but the poor kids kept asking, "But where's Frau Rill?" "Why are our desks this way?" and "What are you saying?" After mom couldn't take it anymore, she walked in. It was fun. :-) I must say, however, that I was impressed with one little boy who asked if I was speaking in Spanish because he recognized some the word similarities.
After that it was off to sign our lease and pick up keys to our cute little apartment, and then move a few boxes in. Since then I've spent the whole afternoon not doing much, and plan to keep not doing much until I go over to Deb's tonight!

Hi, I think I've met you before. Were you at Scott's one NYE?
Yes, I have been with TMobile for 3 years now and I love them. They have great customer service. I just wish they had a little bit of better service in far out areas.
Sorry about your foot! I've been lucky, never broken a single bone!! (Now, I jinxed myself, I'm sure)
What a funny story. You really do have good ones. I would have been one of those confused students. :-D
Glad to hear the apartment thing is almost over except moving all your stuff in. :-D
