Blog break

So, things are starting to pick up at work a little. Tomorrow the first of three big bosses gets back, so it'll pick up yet again. Until they're all back, I'm in the large workspace they and I all use pretty much all by myself. From what I understand, the one who gets back tomorrow really likes opera so that should be fun. Hopefully she's got some good recordings and won't mind my bringing in a few. :-)

Something else that's nice about this space is that I can look out the window and see Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park (Kristin & Jon, I think of you every time I look at it). I just noticed it today because from some angles it's behind this other big monument thing. Anyway, I guess that's one of the cool things about working downtown! On the docket for the afternoon - I'm doing more invoices/filing and that kind of stuff, but that's life. Later on I am going to look into voice studios in the buildling, as DLK is in the Fine Arts building.

On a slightly different note, my walk to Michigan Avenue from the train station my train arrives at is a good 15-20 minutes if I walk briskly. Most of the time I will really love doing this, especially if the bulk of my day is sitting at a desk. This morning was a different story...cold, drizzly, and VERY windy. Probably next time it's like that I'll break down and take the bus!

And finally, on a completely different note, I did Tae-bo this morning! It's the first time in 7 1/2 weeks, and though I couldn't do jumping jacks in between punching and kicking exercises (I marched in place instead) my foot still felt really good. Tomorrow I'm going to try low impact step - no lunges or jumps, but still a good workout hopefully. :-)
