I've been in a super good mood all day - maybe it's because it ended up not raining all day, maybe because I got to meet baby Logan yesterday, and maybe it's because life is calming down. Nevertheless, I feel like life is a lot more relaxed and fun this week.
Obviously the big news is the arrival of Logan. I'm so excited to be a Tante, and was very happy to spend a couple of hours at the hospital visiting yesterday. He slept the entire time we were there and seemed so angelic. I think even more fun was watching Mark be a dorky dad - he really is so much like our father was. :-)
I very much appreciated that Logan didn't jump the gun and try to arrive over the weekend, as Chicago Chamber Choir was recording for our soon-to-be-released CD of hymns and spirituals. We did all of our recording for the CD in one weekend, and I really thought it was going to be tedious and stressful. Surprisingly it went very smoothly and was a lot of fun, albeit pretty draining - Saturday we started at 8:30am and finished up at 5, which is a long day if you expending that much energy. We went back to record a few more songs and do some clean-up work Sunday night, but were finished much sooner than expected. I think the final product will be really fantastic. Wait until the fall!
This weekend Nicky & Joey will be visiting, something else I've been looking forward to for a while. We're taking them out Saturday night, but I can't say where in case they end up reading this. He he.
Have a great weekend all!

i think it's wonderful that you're so excited to be an aunt. I have no doubt you'll spoil him with lullabys and horn playing (as you should!)
It makes me smile reading your excitment on being an aunt. :) I'm sure you will be a great one, you know the one that kids love seeing. :)
I'm impressed you recorded a whole CD in one weekend. That's amazing!
Hooray for new babies!
