At Karen's request, here are some pictures (again, an apology in advance if the formatting is dumb):

My new pairs of shoes - yes, they're black, and it's probably boring to just have a bunch of pairs of black shoes, but they're the most versatile. The objective with this purchase was so I'd have a pair of pumps I could leave at work, and a pair of flats at home. Since I have such a long walk from the train station in to work, and shoes other than gym shoes are not conducive to walking long distances, I keep a few pairs of shoes at work.

And, a picture of our new bedding:

One of our main objectives here with this, other than a change in color scheme, was to get something that was not embroidered. Cats' claws make for an embroidered comforter that starts looking bad after a few years. They're all careful with their claws, and all get trims regularly, but snags happen. Plus, you'd think that expensive sheets would hold up well, but ours started getting a few holes in them recently, and the top border ripped off of one of our flat sheets a couple months ago, too - what's up with that? Anyway, the last bedding set lasted about 6 years, but I'd like this one to last longer than that.

This weekend was nice - it's always a treat to see Kristin, even if we're just running errands together. I'm not a very loud person, except for when we're together. In fact, someone was asking about Jonathan, and I pointed out that when Kristin & I get together, Trey and Jonathan like to sit back, observe, and laugh at us. :-)

The baby shower was good, too - it ended up as myself, Kristin, mom, Godi, Tante Rosie & Tante Maria all at a table together. It was nice to catch up a little with Tante Rosie, and since I can only ooh and ah at cute baby stuff for so long it was good to have a table full of good people and good conversation. I think I need to find some new adjectives...forgive me, as I'm a little out of it this morning. I never sleep well when Trey's not home.

Oh, and before I forget, you must visit Evi's blog - she has the cutest pictures of Murphy, her new grandpuppy (Tony's new dog) in her blog. He's just about the cutest thing I've seen in a long time!

Ok, back to work for now - have a good Monday!
