Lunchtime fun!

Ok, so 3 fun things from lunch today:

1. I found a great pair of running shoes...at Marshall's...for $20. Go figure. I've been looking for a new pair for weeks, but have been trying to spend $50 or less, trying to find a pair that will not kill my wide feet, and that aren't pink. I'd given up on the not pink thing, and finally found a pair last week for $50. They still didn't quite fit right. Yesterday I found another, slightly better pair for $25 and returned the first pair. Now I'll have to return the ones I bought yesterday, but it's worth it because the ones I found today fit perfectly. 3rd times a charm, I guess.

Note to self: check the clearance section of Marshall's every few weeks for 8 1/2 Reebok running shoes, as that brand and that size seem to be the perfect fit, and my last pair of them came from the Marshall's clearance section.

2. While at Marshall's I found my shoes quickly, so I went walking around the store and ended up in housewares. I found an egg guy thing we didn't have yet - an egg guy pancake pan! Now we really need a second egg guy shelf.

3. Finally, something I noticed on my way back to work: in a window box to the left of the WGN broadcast booth as you're facing the building, the whole window pane is covered with brown paper. Someone's written "free peep show" on the paper and ripped 3 silver dollar sized holes in it (maybe slightly bigger). Well, you peek inside and someone's arranged all sorts of peeps into a few different scenarios, including one that's dressed up in a Santa costume made out of pipe cleaners. It's funny. :-)
