Wacky Wednesday

Today's a little wacky at work, but that's ok as it's making the day go by fast. Too bad I keep thinking it's Thursday. A few fun things...

1) I ran into lawyer dude Dave on the train this morning. We used to be on the train together all the time when I took the later train, and he's the guy who always had the interesting "on this day in history" facts. He says he's been taking the earlier train lately, but trying to sit up front (we were always in the first car on the later train, but I'm generally in the 7th car now because you can't get a seat up front and because I now go through a different train station exit). Anyway, I hope to see him again...for today I was reminded that it's believed to be Shakespeare's birthday.

2) I finally got the check for my 401(k) rollover from my old employer to my new employer. I've been working on this since January, and I blame the holdup on ING. There's one investment company I will never use again if I can help it.

3) The Cubs have won 5 in a row...and they're 14 & 6....and they're in first place....and it's only April! I hope this continues. Usually they suck for the first half of the season and get good after the All Star break - hopefully this year's not the reverse of that norm. I do think this is the year, though. It has to be - it's 100 years later!

4) Check out Holly's Earth Day post. :-)

Ok, halfway through hump day....half a week to go!

We have a daily death report person here....he tells us which (nearly)person died today/this weekend/etc.
Go cubbies!!
I checked out Holly's blog. Hey, about the cleaning solution part. Have you ever tried it? I want to hear, from a REAL PERSON - not a "real person" on TV, or an overly hippie "real" person - how cleaning like that works. Does it truly work? And is just that easy? Or is it better to use store-bought and supplement in between with natural? Also, how does homemade compare with the natural/"green" ones available in the store?

also, on the topic of yesterday's "Earth Day": I know of one place that had a broken pipe on Earth Day. and leaked a bunch of waste water, potentially with raw sewage, into the adjacent wetlands conservation. Yea Earth Day!!
