Monday again?

I'm having a harder time getting out of bed the past week or so - I don't know what the deal is, but it's so hard. Usually when the sun starts rising earlier, I have an easier time getting up. Am I the only one experiencing this? I'm going to have to get to bed early tonight...9:30 or so...

This weekend was a good time - Friday night Trey and I did dinner, grilling for the first time this year (!), and a DVD. We saw "Broken Flowers" with Bill Murray. It was interesting - different, but we both liked it. Saturday was busy with practices, rehearsals, and performances...all that and I got the bathrooms and kitchen scrubbed. Woo-hoo!

Sunday was fun, as we had a girls' day. Mom, Kristin, Karen (SIL) and I had breakfast at Le Peep and then hung out and played "Stitchopoly" at mom's. Funny that I'm the one who doesn't cross stitch very much and I won. :-)

Something especially fun, however, was popping in at Oma & Otta's on Sunday. Kristin and I swung by for a few minutes to say hello, and Otta came to answer the door....because Oma was watching the pope on TV. She didn't get up to say hello for a few minutes, and then after she did, she kept saying, "no, I can't talk, I gotta watch the pope." I have NEVER gone to Oma's and had her tell me she couldn't come say hello! Oh, well.

Happy Monday!

Yea. At least it was for the Pope though. And not some looney toon or something...
My mom dissed me to watch the pope, too. Once whatever was off she resumed a conversation with me. Otherwise I'd ask how her day was and she'd answer "really, uh-huh".

What could the pope have been doing that was THAT fascinating?

i laughed out loud - your grandma is as fascinated with the pope as you are! i can't believe YOU didn't glue yourself to the TV too!
