Monday night Trey and I were actually home together and cooked a very easy, but very delicious pasta dish. I hate to admit it because I do eat pretty healthy all the time, but sometimes some bacon really makes the difference between something being just good and something being fabulous. Something else that I think is fabulous? Whole wheat pasta - I've had almost no regular pasta for a couple of years now, and won't go back to it. I love the whole wheat stuff.
Monday night we also made a new discovery about the kinds of critters that live around us. Siggy and Sepp will often spend a lot of time in the evenings looking out the windows and running from room to room as whatever they're seeing (real or imaginary) moves around outside. Well, that evening Siggy was getting particularly stirred up, and as one of the sets of blinds was slightly open I also saw something moving around outside. It looked a little strange so I ran to the window...turns out it was a skunk! Makes me even happier I don't let my cats outside.
Tuesday morning I confirmed that when our complex changed the keycards for the workout room, they did actually start restricting the times you can get it. It's technically open from 7am-10pm, but I'd never had a problem getting in at 5:45am. My only problem now is that I effectively can't go running before work - even if I weren't a wimp and needed to run on a treadmill, it's too dark to run outside that early. I hate waiting until after work to exercise, but in order to reach my goal of running twice a week I have to do it on Tuesday nights now (Tuesday is the only weeknight I'm regularly at home). Grr.
Wednesday night we met with an accountant that happens to be a Trey connection. It didn't change the fact that we owe the government 2K, but it did help us figure out that we'll be Ok next year, and it gave us a couple of ideas for how to make it not as bad this year. During our time there we spent a lot of time talking to the resident 4-year-old. He was very cute, very bright, and very well behaved, but I still admire all of you parents for having the patience to live with someone like him - they just have so much energy.
Last night was a good rehearsal for CCC, gearing up for our concerts Sunday, Monday, and next Friday. I can't believe it's already the end of our season...partly because it snowed again yesterday so it doesn't feel like spring yet! Finally, my Friday randomness is that I'm wearing a headband. I actually felt like wearing a headband today, which was an added bonus because my hair looked extra funny this morning. The bad part is that it's digging in to the sides of my head just behind my ears, and I have to rearrange it every couple of hours to keep from getting a headache.
Ok, back to work for me...have a great weekend everyone. :-)

A SKUNK!??! THAT especially is something you don't want to let the kitties annoy!
I so know what you mean about headbands. I like them. I occassionaly wear one. But OUCH it hurts just behind the ears...
Dude, I feel you on the headband thing. I typically can't wear them for more than a few hours before I just can't take it anymore.
And I would have absolutely DIED if a skynk had been outside our door. At least the cats didn't freak it out and make it spray. Even with closed windows you probably would have smelled it.
ps. Why am I blocked from Trey's blog?
Trey has found it necessary to restrict viewing access to his blog. He can invite you to read it, just send me the e-mail address you want him to send the invite to...
I found the best headbands ever at Bed Bath and Beyond. They are plastic, wide and have a string that goes under your hair so the plastic is movable and not still like normal headbands. I wear it almost everyday because it is so easy and comfortable.
I wondered the same thing, Lisa marie. Even tho I may be " out of action " still like to read when I can. Here comes info.
