Wouldn't this suck?

I know we all have those moments when we hear about something really crappy that happens to someone, or we fear something incredibly embarrassing happening to ourselves. Of late, I've had several of those heart-stopping moments walking on snowy sidewalks, saying a silent 'thank you' each time I've managed not to fall on my you-know-what.

Well, check this out. I wouldn't want to be that guy.

I read that JUST before checking out your blog.
YIKES!
But he did have an insurance policy on it.

I read the article and was disappointed not to see a photo of him. They comment about him being a former model, the "beckham of violinists" or whatever, and then they don't show me what he looks like? Seriously?

I'm sure he had a kick-ass policy on that thing - most musicians do carry insurance on their instruments. This is the main reason I would be nervous to own something as valuable as that violin though. It's sort of like when Yo-Yo Ma left a Stradivarius cello in a NY cab. Luckily he got it back.

Yeah, even though my horn wasn't that expensive in comparison to other horns, it cost more than my first car did. Even I have insurance on my instrument...

Martha's right, I wanted a photo too!!! :)
