Monday

So, this morning I was exhausted, and I hate work, so I decided to work from home. The bad part of this is not that I do still have to work, but that I'm getting requests for things that are not my job - you'd think that if you e-mailed everyone and told them you're not feeling well so you're working from home, they'd let you do the work you're planning on doing and not dump stuff on you that you're not supposed to be doing anyway, but I guess that's what happens when a bunch of people leave and they're not replaced. Grr.

The good part about staying at home is that I get to watch the cats. I finally, after days of trying, got a good picture of them watching one of the chipmunks on the patio. I really wanted to get all three of them at once, but normally I just catch two at a time, this time Siggy and Willie.

The cutest thing about Siggy is that this morning he sat and watched for at least 2 1/2 hours, while normally he has, as Trey puts it, the attention span of a fish. This morning, too, the chipmunks were actually running around a lot, and most of the time the cats are just sitting and staring at the grill, waiting for the momma or daddy to come out...
The weekend was Ok - the Cubs lost, but the Bears won, something Chicago really needed. As far as the Cubs are concerned, I'd rather see them win it all next year, as that's the 100th anniversary of the last time they won a World Series. If that doesn't work, then maybe we'll just never get over the curse.
The reunion was so-so. It was really nice to see everyone, but we were at a bar with the music turned up so loud that we had to yell. I finally got sick of that around 11:15 and went home - I was also worried about blowing my voice out and having to sing the next morning. I'm thinking of having an 11 year reunion for my high school friends at my apartment next spring. I'll have to start working on that soon.
Ok, enough for now - happy Monday all!

I LOVE the picture! That is so cute, Martin says so, too, as I made him look. And yes, I might incorporate the fish comment into my speech, it's hilarious!
Sorry to hear that your co-workers are inconsiderate, I hope that you will get a new job soon.
P.S.: Is it my screen or did you change your blog layout? It looks nice... :)

My cats sit and stare out the windows for hours then go through crazy cat mode when they run from window to window to see "everything" outside.

I will start telling my cats their attention span is that of a fish...

Sometimes I think I have the attention span of a fish.

Great picture of the cats! I love getting shots like this. You just love to imagine what they're thinking too..."Mmmmm...chipmunk...." or "If I could just figure out how to get this screen open..."

I just realized last night that you and Trey (and a few others) don't have access to my blog, do you? have Karen send me your email so I can invite y'all?
