So, I just thought of a fun Kaitie visit happening to post about...
One of the big stores nowadays for the kids is Hollister, which I knew, but I'd never been in a store. When I took her shopping on Michigan Avenue this week, she was very much looking forward to going to the Hollister at Water Tower Place. So, we're at Water Tower Place, going down the escalator to the 6th floor, the location of said Hollister, and all of a sudden she excitedly squeaks, "It's Hollister!"
I'm confused. I look around the 6th floor, expecting to, but not seeing a sign bearing the name of the store, so I follow Kaitie. We walk into the store and I stop and start laughing at myself, almost as hard as she's laughing at me...it seems that the exterior of Hollister is remarkably similar to the exterior of Abercrombie & Fitch. I always wondered why Woodfield, the closest mall to me, had two Abercrombies, and why they were directly across the hall from one another.

This is so sad that we're no long "with it".
Ha.
Perhaps I could date hot guy from the barn and we could take his daughter to Hollister.
(I, for one, would be equally excited and squeal to go to the Ralph Lauren store)
This is so funny. I don't know either of the two. But when I was trying to tell this story to Martin, I caught myself wondering about our "In-Stores". I had to ask him, "what's the store the young kids all go to?". See, we're all in the same boat.
P.S.: Thanks a lot for your sweet comment on my blog. :) :) :)
That's hysterical! I would have made the same mistake. I know I am no longer "hip".
My wife's blog says "balls" at the top....hahahaha
Okay, so I just used the word balls in Viki's last blog about vegetarians...and then I read Trey's comment here and had to go to the top of Viki's blog....and it made me giggle!!
And I've never even been in Hollister. I'm afraid I'll look old and shriveled and will be ridiculed for even entering the front "beach porch".
Teehee! Balls!
Hollister is just one of those stores that doesn't quite work for me.. you have to be either a size 0, 2, or negative 2. The sizes small, medium and large don't address your overall figure... it addresses how long you want your shirts. Cute stuff... just can't fit in anything!
