Quick update

So, life is pretty nuts these days (I started this post an hour ago and then forgot about it). Yesterday at work was really busy, and today and tomorrow will be the same. Evenings have been the same, but now my house is almost clean, my cats are all set for care for next week, and by tomorrow midnight I'll have done my regular Thursday rehearsal as well as a soprano sectional for CCC. Life is goin' crazy!

Chicago's getting very excited about this weekend - the Art Institute put Bears helmets on the lions yesterday. Well, they actually tried to put them on on Tuesday, but it was too cold, the helmets shrunk and were therefore cracked. They made new ones and warmed them overnight to ensure a better fit the second time around. I think they look pretty good!

Other than that, it was so cold yesterday morning - my lawyer dude friend on the train said he looked out at his outside thermometer, which said it was -4 - that this morning's 8am temperature of 20 degrees felt almost like a heat wave. Next week it's supposed to be very cold, but we won't be here!

I love it! What a great idea!

Yeah, the temperature and weather are crazy! It's been freezing here as well, and it still hasn't stopped snowing........it's been snowing every day for over 2 weeks!

Have fun on your trip, I'm so jealous!

I hope it warms up a bit for when you return!! I missed where you said you were going... hopefully somewhere far, far south!

It's THAT COLD in Chicago? You're kidding. Wow, I've gotten used to "temperate" Oregon. Brrrr. I can't even begin to think how to pack for my interview!! long johns....layers....if only I had a parka. and someone to keep me warm.
Maybe I can find a sports bar to watch the bears win (yes. I think they're going to win - I'd better now that I'm spending the superbowl in Chicago!!). I heard there is NOTHING where my hotel is, not even a restaurant around (they even told me to eat at the airport!)

I just have a quick in and out trip anyway (in Sun evening, out Mon evening). I really like the company and position, however, I'm really not sure about moving to Chicago. I guess I need to wait for to see how the face-to-face interview goes....
Have a fabulous vacation to nice..warm....TX (didn't they get an ice storm recently??)!

Just b/c I THINK they're going to win does NOT mean I HOPE they will win. :) My family should still accept me.
