I've been meaning to post about this for a while because it keeps happening and it's been driving me nuts. One of my biggest pet peeves: someone finishes a roll of toilet paper but fails to put a new roll on the holder, instead they're lazy and just leave the empty roll for the next person to deal with.
My office has a small/single bathroom with a normal toilet paper holder - like one that you'd have at your house - and there is a basket near the toilet with additional rolls of toilet paper should someone run out. The problem I'm having is that someone will finish the roll on the holder, start the next new roll in the basket, but not change rolls. It drives me crazy because I'm always in there and there's no toilet paper left on the roll on the holder. Grr. I'm thinking of installing a camera in the bathroom to catch the culprit...
Ok, now I feel better. :-)
Things are a little nuts this week...work got crazy, last night was Dialogue of the Carmelites at the Lyric (I went with my friend Laura so there may be a review from me later this week, but none from Trey), and tonight is my Grant Park Festival Chorus audition. *hoping to make the sub list, hoping to make the sub list*
That's all for now, but I'll write more tomorrow!

I've got my fingers crossed for you!!
Not changing the roll is a pet peeve of mine, too! Catch the office culprit!!
I have someone in my house that does the same thing......
Knock 'em dead at your audition.
Mom
UGH, that's one of my biggest pet peeves too! My brothers used to do that all the time when we shared a bathroom. It also really bugs me when people put the toilet paper on upside down.....Adam and I had to have a serious conversation about that when we first moved!
Good luck!
Ha ha, I have the same problem at home. my husband will get a new roll and leave the old roll on the holder and the new roll on the windowsill! It is so hard to take that extra 30 seconds while you are sitting right next to it?
Sarah - which way is upside down? I am an under person. I heard though that military personnel often roll theirs over as a sign of status / rank?
We're an over family. And my husband will leave the toilet paper propped ON the toilet paper holder! He even takes the old cardboard off and then STILL doesn't put the roll on. What the crap is that all about???
Why are people so freaking lazy?
I'm glad you guys are over people...
I never pay attention to what direction the paper goes. Doesn't make a difference.
first of all, do NOT put a camera in a bathroom. hahaha. I'm fairly certain that's ILLEGAL. :)
If you're "always" in there, aren't you using a fair amt of the t.p? How is it you're not the one running it down?
I'm an over person, too. and I will change it, even in someone's home, if I will be there longer than a few hours.
It's gotta be over. And what is with sitting the new roll on top of the holder!?!
I can't understand that if TP is available in sight why they wouldn't put it ON the roll (over of course). Hubby does that. It's in the cubbord... he'll throw the old tube away but leave the roll on the counter (next to said toilet)... drives me batty!
I was totally kidding about the camera, and yes, I do use a fair amount of TP, but I always change the roll if I use the last bit...
Audition, not my best. I need to do more of these things so I don't get as nervous...breathing on my solo was a little funky, but it still sounded good. He took the Mozart really fast, and that compounded with the breathing thing made it not nearly as clean as it should have been. At least I redeemed myself on the last thing - he asked for straight tone, which I can do really well. At this point I'm hoping for a volunteer spot, which I probably won't take because they rehearse in the middle of the day, but I'll keep you posted...
