Dumped on!

Yeah, so I'm glad I decided to work from home today - I'm not working yet, though because we've been dealing with getting Trey's car out (he'd not out yet). We got dumped on last night, and our apartment complex didn't seem to cope very well - again, I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere! I am glad I bought snow brushes/ice scrapers last month - too bad I forgot about the shovel!

I think it's funny that Trey and I haven't seen more than about 1/2 an inch of snow in over 2 years, and our first snowstorm back is really a snowstorm. :-)

The only real damper this puts on life is that it is preventing me from going out and getting some real cough medicine. I guess Sudafed will have to work for now!

I can't get these damn pictures to place correctly, but the one is of our patio in a snowdrift, and the other is of my car.

That is ridiculous!!! I can't believe they're making Trey go into work! Good thing you don't have to go anywhere! Make some hot chocolate and enjoy it... it's like 65* here... it's wierd!

People in Chicago still have to go to work because Chicago can deal with this thing. Trey and I are actually in the zone that got hit the hardest (we got over a foot while some areas got only a couple of inches). Looks like it's taking him over 2 hours to get to work, but really that's understandable. Plus, it's not really that cold. :-)

I just called Home Depot and bought some shovels so that when I actually do get out this afternoon they're not all gone!

Smart thinking on the shovel purchase over the phone! And I'm so jealous! I wanted that snow! Then I would have had the day off!

The season has officially started. Jealous of all the snow you got, but I'm glad that it's you and not me!
