Christmas part 2 and then some...

So, where did I leave off? Christmas Day? Trey and I woke up and exchanged gifts – Karen and Sarah I’m proud to say that he got really excited about the bird feeder! His gifts were really thoughtful, too – some Clif bars and mini bottles of bubbly for on the train in my stocking, a heart rate monitor (I’ve been wanting one of those forever!), and a couple of other very Viki things that I wouldn’t have thought of at all. :- )

After that it was off to church again to sing the last of the masses for the weekend. Man, was I glad after all of my singing was over that I have good technique. Lots of people were asking me last week how I was going to do all of that singing and not lose my voice, and I just responded that as long as I did it correctly and drank enough water, I’d be fine, and I was! I did give myself Tuesday and Wednesday off entirely, though.

In the afternoon we went to lunch at Oma’s house, which is always a good time. It was a smaller crowd as Mark had to work and Kristin and Jonathan were at his family’s. I was having such a nice time I didn’t want to leave, but Trey and I had something special planned…we’d finally gotten our wedding video!

We got home, opened a bottle of Delaney bubbly, and curled up on the couch. The two DVDs are a little over 2 ½ hours long, and we loved every minute. There were a few funny things that happened that we didn’t know about, so that was cool to see. It was also fun to see all of the people who came (funny thing for Karen – we kept seeing Jim. Don’t know why he stood out but he did). We can’t wait to show all the Texas folks when we visit in February!

Tuesday night after work we went over to my mom’s for the annual Christmas week get-together with the Toths. It was mom, Onkel Rich, Tante Maria, their three girls, and all four Rill kids plus significant others. What a hoot. We played “ImagineIff” which helped us get to know Lisa (Tony’s girl), and allowed for plenty of making fun of each other in the most affectionate way, of course. We were sad to leave, but alas did have to work Wednesday as well.

Yesterday I left work a little early and went crazy cleaning when I got home – got both bathrooms sparkling! I was beat by the time Trey got home, but he had a nice surprise for me – an almost full bottle of Dom Perignon he brought home from a champagne tasting, plus another fabulous rose. I must say, the Dom was good, but not at all worth the price tag…I’m glad to have been able to try it and be able to say that, though!

That’s all for now – tonight after work Trey and I are sitting down with Kristin & Jonathan and the moms to pick wine for their wedding. Maybe I can get Kristin to talk about what music she wants, too…happy Thursday!

I'm so glad that Trey liked the bird feeder! That makes me smile! I'm also glad that you were able to do so much singing without losing your voice....I guess all that time spent building technique really does pay off!

We played "Imagine If" last year on my brother's birthday, it was a fun game!

Yeah, I guess I am a busy woman - I'm feeling it now, though. It's only noon and I feel like I've needed a nap for the past 2 hours!

your videographer was smart to put such a good-looking man on film on a continuous basis. :) ha!

I have a request that's only slightly related to your post. Can someone (you, your mother, husband, sister) post a picture of Tony and this new girlfriend, so those of us from other parts of the country can verify that she's real? So far she sounds too good to be true, and we're concerned.

Thanks,
Uncle Wally
