Christmas cards & regional differences

Are mostly out! Here are some addresses I need though, so if you see your name, send me your address (mrsj2004@hotmail.com):

Armand & Jelaine
Sarah F
Beth H
Justin & Holly

Ok, that's that - hopefully I can get the rest of these out before Christmas, but we'll see. On to other things...I've recently discovered that there are a couple of old Christmas "cartoons" (really not cartoons but sort of pre-claymation thingies) that are distinctly Chicagoan. We were talking about it in the car Monday on the way to the CCC concert, but then last night talking to Trey, I discovered it was really true...

How many of you have seen the old "Susie Snowflake" or "Hardrock, Coco, & Joe" cartoons? If you haven't seen the videos, have you heard the songs? For my caroling gigs this week, we are part of the pre-movie activities at the Music Box Theatre, along with a Santa sing-a-long and the showing of one or the other of these short cartoons, and I think I will have to make Trey show up on Saturday night when he's done working just so he can see them. What a deprived childhood he must've led, especially without "Hardrock, Coco, & Joe"...

I'm glad that I'm not on that list. :-D

That's cool about the movies. I don't know if I've ever seen those... matter of fact, makes me wonder if those were even on the ABCFamily Classics they had on a couple of weekends ago.

I haven't sent a single card yet, I'm in even worse shape than you are!

We decided we weren't sending out cards this year. 1) Can't afford it and 2) Well, it's just time consuming oh and 3) We decided that we may send out Happy Spring cards instead. :-P

Spring cards would be nice, or you could send out Christmas in July cards...after Christmas the cards are always dirt cheap (we always buy ours after Christmas for the following year...)

I'll be honest, I haven't even thought about Christmas cards yet, so I guess I win for being the biggest slacker!

SARAH!!!! we have a "firm" policy of 3X and you're out. Therefore, if you have gotten a card for us for 3 years and we haven't gotten one you're booted off the list. The only exception to this rule is single men (ie Dale).

Sarah Ford has 1 more year. :P
