So, I don't know about you, but I'm not a fan of bugs, big or small. I very clearly remember that as a child I'd scream bloody murder in the middle of the night if I saw a spider on the wall, and that usually my dad would come in and kill it. In any case, imagine my reaction when I walked into the office bathroom this morning and there was a very large cockroach floating in the toilet. I hate that - it makes me sick just to think about it.
All I could do was flush it down, and be thankful that I've never really had to deal with bugs like this. Yes, we saw them at 1320 from time to time but I don't think I ever had to deal with one personally, and aside from that I've never lived anywhere that had roach problems. Even the summer I lived in DC - they were always running across the sidewalks at night, but I never saw one in the apartment. Ugh. I just had to share that. Happy Thursday!

bugs at 1320??? no......
Okay, I NEVER saw a roach living in our house.......and if there were I was happier thinking their wasn't. I totally understand the irrational fear to bugs. I'm that way with ones that buzz. I run in terror.
I had cockroaches in my first dorm room, as my room was next to the trash room. My roommate wouldn't kill them, so she'd catch them, take them back to the trash room and they'd come right back! The most vivid memory was one morning when I had my head under the faucet washing my hair and one crawled out of the overflow hole in the sink about an inch from my nose. Gross!!!!

I'm not a fan of bugs either, at least you didn't have to catch the cockroach to kill it.
How did the cockroach get its name???
Ewwww... that's just gross. I always yell for Danny to come kill the bugs... but he doesn't like Spiders. Good thing we have the kitties around to do most of the dirty work for us. :-D
Don't worry.....I am the brave spider killer in our household. No arachnid too small, but I suppose there could be one too big.....ewww!!!
Great site lots of usefull infomation here.
