I rock

Forgive me for bragging, but I took a moment this afternoon to reflect on how proud I should be of myself. I have been back in the US for less than a week and I've already purchased cell phones for Trey and myself, found us an apartment (I sign the lease and pick up keys Saturday), purchased a couple of power suits, had 2 job interviews, and made additional contacts job wise. Tomorrow I'm going to a job fair, I just sent the Chicago Symphony a resume, and I have a few more jobs to send resumes out to (Thursday). I am absolutely exhausted and I hope that I hear something from Ravinia early next week so I can calm down a little, but I feel really good about everything I've done so far.

Ok, enough of that. Today was another interview, this time for a High School Programs Manger for Best Buddies of Illinois. Everything went well, except for my being really late - 20 minutes. I'm blaming 5 minutes of that on 1) my fight with the parking machine at the EL stop - I missed 2 trains that way, 2) my foot, which kept me from going anywhere quickly. I blame the other 15 minutes on the really bad directions I was given. Maybe it's because I always give really good directions that being given bad directions is one of the things that pisses me off the most? Anyway, like I said, it was a good interview. If I get it, I'll have fun, but I'm still keeping Ravinia as my top dream job. :-)

Congrats to you on being so productive!

I'm with you on the bad directions thing, it's one of my biggest pet peeves. Like you said, it annoys me more because I give good directions. I don't understand directionally challenged people!

You have every right to toot your own horn. I think I would be fighting with the Jet Lag... and here you are being Super Woman!

Hopefully you'll (we'll) hear soon enough about your job offer(s). Can't wait and keeping my fingers crossed! :-)

Sounds like good times :).

I must concur on bad directions. I also just can't understand directionally challenged people either. It just seems natural to know where you at, you know? To notice what's around, and pay attention where you are going seems second nature to me I guess.
