In any case, some of us decided that since we were downtown we'd go out for dinner, which meant hanging around for a couple of hours until the restaurants opened. It was a great time, and full of more first experiences for most of us, but it also meant that I got to gimp around a little...
We gimped to the Cafe dei Professore for some Caffe Nociole (the only first for me), an espresso drink made up of a scoup of hazelnut mousse and a spoonful of chocolate syrup with a shot of espresso on top. Amazing!...
Then we gimped to the Gambrinus, the most historical coffee house in Naples, right across from San Carlo. It's great 'cause they actually have indoor seating and it was a little cold...
Then we gimped to Rossini's, one of the most fun restaurants around in my opinion. They've got the standard pastas and second course meat dishes, but their pizzas are fantastic - not only do they taste great, but each one is named after a different Rossini opera! I love it...
After that we gimped, well, I gimped, back to a cab and then back to the metro station. All in all, it was a really fun evening of gimping around. :-) That's all for today, which means I won't have anything else until Wednesday because our home phone is officially shut off now...

in all the books i'm reading lately people seem to jet off to Europe an awful lot. in fact, People magazine has famous folk in Italy all the time. In your tenure have you seen anyone?

Karen - I did see Chris Cooper at Pompeii. Actually, Armand & Jelaine were with us, and Trey didn't believe me that Mr. Cooper was famous. I had to go look him up on the internet 'cause I couldn't remember his name...
