What does one write about in her first blog post? Honestly, I'm not sure how to do this, but reading others' random thoughts has inspired me, and now that I have the time to keep up with this thing, at least for a little while...
Today is our second wedding anniversary, and I got Trey a hammock (2nd anniversary = cotton). I had it shipped to my wonderful boss at Liberty in order to surprize Trey and held my breath until it arrived. I later found out that I was lucky it got here when it did because Naples wasn't getting mail for a while due to an Alitalia strike. Why our mail goes via Alitalia is beyond me. Anyway, these boxes were accidentally sent to the base at Sigonella, Sicily so the Navy kindly sent them up here themsevles.
So, the hammock came and everything was great until I realized I couldn't keep 3 huge boxes, one of which is bigger than me, in Jaimie's closet-sized office and that I needed Trey's help to get it all home. Bring on the leftover Christmas wrapping paper and packing tape! I should take a picture of the ghetto wrap job we did on the box that had "Large Hammock Stand" written all over it. That one has been super fun for the cats to play with and Trey is going to have an even better time opening it.
I'd better go for now...gotta call the restaurant we're planning on having dinner at tonight to find out if they're open!

Hi Viki! Welcome to the wide world of blogs. You'll become quickly addicted... watch out. I look forward to reading all the adventures you and Trey have.
Viki,
You are not the last one to get a blog, the thought has not even crossed my mind until you sent me yours. It seems like this would be a good way to commuicate those everyday random musings that I never seem to have the time to write in an email anymore. I miss sharing those random musings with you. My dog passed his first training class this weekend, we even had a final to take. There is my random musing for the day.

Happy Anniversary! It seems like forever ago I was sitting in the church watching you get married! Have fun with the hammock, and I'm super happy to see you have a blog now too. Now we can all be addicted together!
Best wishes on your anniversay!
The story of the hammock is somewhat incomplete, however, as you didn't start at the beginning. It came to my house first, and see me struggleing to get them into the house after they had been left on the front stairs was kind of funny. then there was the trip to the post office, that Kristin and Mark made to get it sent off to you. all in all it is a well-traveled hammock, and I am sure that Trey appreciates all the effort it took to get it to him.
Love, Mom
